Codex Fish

Theres a fish. Fishy fish fish. Its alive.  But it doesnt look like a fish. It has a head. A regular fishy head.  Then its neck is a tube. This tube continues through a dinner plate. Then the tube continues through another dinner plate. and then another. And then its tail. This was all I dreampt. Was this fish. I think it was from looking at the Codex Seraphinianus too much.

Holy crap. Whales.

I am walking along a pier, that follows the beach's edge. I look down below onto the sand and see whales, drying in the sun. There are about 6 of them in a line followed by a few more beached sea lions. The sea lions are huge, the same size as the whales. I'm saddened by their death... no one wants to see such an amazing creature be washed ashore, especially not six of them! I walk on and see blue whales and humpback whales splashing close to the coast. I'm worried they too will trapped by the sand. Someone puts their hand on my shoulder and assures me that these whales have been specially trained to do tricks! (and stay away from beaches and tides) This is where I stop and think: How can someone train a whale to do anything? In Sea World, they take away dolphins food so that they have a good "reward" for doing tricks. YOU CANT TAKE ALL THE PLANKTON OUT OF THE SEA! How do you give plankton as a reward to whales?! I don't understand. I really don't.
So I continue along the pier... watching the whales doing flips, splashing audiences with their tail fins. I walk on. I reach a department store, Sears or something. I'm still above it on the pier's platform but the whole store is made of glass and I can see whales floating amongst the shoppers. Whales in the clothing area.
Whales hovering above dishwashers.
Whales floating next to mannequins.

Wake.

And after I wake... I wonder: How could I be so critical of how to train a whale in my dream, but not even bother to wonder what the hell a whale is doing floating around in a department store.
